The jämförpris (the standardised comparison price) is the price of a typical trip of 10 kilometres and 15 minutes, computed from your tariff. It is the comparison figure customers must be able to see.
Sweden has free taxi pricing — the jämförpris exists so prices can still be compared.
When is a binding price quote required?
When the jämförpris exceeds the threshold, the customer must get a binding price quote before the trip. The threshold is 1.2 percent of the prisbasbelopp (Sweden's price base amount), rounded down to the nearest ten kronor — 700 kr in 2026.
The figure tracks the prisbasbelopp and so changes year by year. Manecab always uses the threshold currently in force.

Two kinds: a binding price quote — a maximum price the meter may undercut — or a fixed price, the exact amount agreed with the customer.
The proof carries the fields TSFS 2013:41 requires, and can be printed or saved as a PDF for the customer.

Two days in the car — six months in the archive
Quotes from the last two days must be shown on demand to police or a bilinspektör (roadside vehicle inspector). Manecab keeps a ready-made list of the last two days.
The archive keeps every quote for at least six months. A quote is voided, never deleted — Transportstyrelsen (the Swedish Transport Agency) can request a copy afterwards.
