What is a shift report?

The körpassrapport is the summary the taximeter prints when a shift ends: gross income, trip count, the split per payment method and the odometer reading. For a taxi company it is the basis for both follow-up and bookkeeping.

In Manecab the driver enters the same figures, which become a digital, searchable record per shift, vehicle and driver. Manecab reads nothing from the taximeter — the printed report and the reporting to your redovisningscentral (the approved reporting centre) continue as usual.

Report the shift from the phone

One tap on Start shift when the shift begins, End shift when it is over — Manecab keeps track of where in the flow the driver is. The common case takes under 30 seconds.

Drafts are saved and survive a dropped connection, like in an underground garage. Forgotten shifts can be added manually afterwards.

Gross income per payment method

Gross income is reported per payment method: cash, card, Swish, Bolt, Uber and invoice. Tips are not a payment method and are reported separately. You can add your own methods — the brand of your beställningscentral (a licensed taxi booking centre), for example.

If you want per-trip detail there are Trips: logged trips can prefill the report, and Manecab flags when the totals disagree.

Odometer checks and corrections

An odometer reading lower than the previous shift's is flagged before the report is submitted.

Corrections after closing create a new version with a full change history — who changed what, and when. Administrators can force-close shifts left hanging. Incomplete reports and shifts open for more than 24 hours are flagged automatically.

The numbers land with you

The moment a report is submitted you see gross income, kilometres and shifts in your overview — per vehicle, driver and period.

The step to bookkeeping is short: CSV export and a free read-only seat for your accountant.

  2. Discrepancies are flagged automatically

Implausible odometer readings, gaps and shifts left open too long are marked.

  3. The records are ready

The numbers sit in your overview, ready for follow-up and bookkeeping.

Common questions

More questions?

Manecab does not read data from the taximeter and replaces neither the taximeter nor the redovisningscentral. The shift report in Manecab is a digital record mirroring the taximeter's report — the redovisningscentral flow continues as usual.

What should a taxi shift report contain?

Gross income split per payment method, trip count, tips and the odometer readings at start and end. The same figures the taximeter's report shows — and the same figures the driver enters in Manecab.

Does Manecab replace the taximeter's shift report?

No. Manecab mirrors it as a digital record for follow-up and bookkeeping. The taximeter and the redovisningscentral flow continue exactly as before.

Is the shift report a körjournal (mileage log)?

No. Manecab logs no GPS — a körjournal is a different kind of record. The shift report summarises the shift's gross income, trips and odometer readings.

Does reporting work without a connection?

Yes, the draft is saved on the phone and submitted once the connection returns. Drivers can fill everything in even where coverage fails.

Can a shift report be corrected afterwards?

Yes. The correction becomes a new version with a full change history, so the original record is always kept.
