A taxi fare calculator on your own tariffs

Base fee plus kilometres plus minutes plus fixed surcharges — the fare calculator runs on your named tariffs, such as a day, night or larger-vehicle tariff.

VAT is shown separately and the jämförpris (the standardised comparison price) is computed. If the trip requires a binding price quote, the calculator flags it right away.

Your own tariffs in the register

In the Tariffs register you set the base fee, price per kilometre, hourly rate and waiting-time fee — with free waiting time and billing per started period.

The jämförpris is computed automatically for every tariff — the same figure the fare calculator and the price quotes use.

Do taxis pay congestion tax?

Yes — taxis are not exempt from Swedish congestion tax. The tool shows the current amount right now and the next change, following the official tables from Transportstyrelsen, the Swedish Transport Agency.

  • Stockholm and Essingeleden
  • Gothenburg — including the 60-minute rule
  • Daily caps

The VAT splitter — 6 or 25 percent

Split any amount into price and VAT. Passenger transport carries 6 percent VAT in Sweden; courier and goods runs carry 25 percent.

The rates are dated, with Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency) as the source, so you can see which rate applied on a given date.

The waiting-time timer

Time the wait at pickup, separately from a trip in progress. The charge is computed per started period at the waiting-time rate in your tariff.

Sweden has free taxi pricing — the rate is always your own.
