Vacation years and saved days
Balances per vacation year (semesterår). Days above 20 can be saved for up to 5 years under the Annual Leave Act — Manecab tracks which year every saved day comes from, so the oldest are taken first.
The year-end close is done in one step. Sammanfallande semesterår — the earning year and the vacation year as one period — is supported.
Sick leave with the right reminders
A sick report stays open until it is ended — nobody has to guess an end date in advance. On day 8 Manecab reminds you about the doctor's certificate (läkarintyg), and once the absence passes day 14, the reminder to notify Försäkringskassan — the Swedish Social Insurance Agency — follows.
Doctor's certificates are stored on their own, apart from the document cabinet — sensitive records do not mix with registration papers.
VAB and parental leave
VAB and parental leave are reported as they happen — on the phone, in under a minute.
The absence shows up where planning needs it: in the roster and the overview, not in a spreadsheet nobody remembers to update.
Absence shows in the roster
Approved leave and reported absence shade into the roster, so you never schedule someone who is away. Decisions follow your hierarchy — the right person gets the request.
The number of counted vacation days can be adjusted per request — taxi drivers work weekends, and the standard count is not always right.

How long can vacation days be saved?

A setup where the earning year and the vacation year are the same period — vacation is earned and taken in the same year. Common in smaller companies, and supported in Manecab.
